The rules for using Peta Satu Ruang

What we provide

Peta Satu Ruang shows Indonesia's environmental data as maps, tables, articles, downloadable files and an API. The site is free of charge. We measure nothing ourselves; the data comes from the agencies and open sources listed on the Data sources page.

Not an official warning

In an emergency, follow official guidance such as BMKG, BNPB, BPBD and PVMBG, or call your local emergency services. Do not make safety decisions from this site alone.

Advice on this site is general and is not medical advice.

Data can be late or incomplete

We copy data from its sources and explain how we process it, but it can be late, wrong or unavailable. The site is provided as it is, with no guarantee that it is always available or free of errors.

Alerts

Alerts can be late or fail to arrive, for example because of your browser, network or device settings. Do not rely on them as your only warning. You can turn them off at any time.

Using the data and API

Downloads are open and API keys are free of charge. When you use the data:

• Credit Peta Satu Ruang and the original source. Sources and licences are listed on the data pages and inside the files, except CSV.
• Each source has its own licence, and some state none. Make sure your use, especially commercial use, is allowed by the source.
• Use your own API key and do not share it.

What is not allowed

You may not:

• Send excessive requests, get around request limits, or disrupt the site. An IP address that repeatedly passes the limits may be blocked.
• Try to reach parts of the site or data that are not meant for you.
• Present our data as if it came from an official agency, or change it so that it misleads.

Copyright

Data remains the property of its original sources. The code, design, articles and videos of Peta Satu Ruang are protected by copyright. To use them beyond a short quotation that names the source, ask for permission on the Contact page.

Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from the use of this site, its data or its alerts, including because data was late, wrong or unavailable.

If these terms change

Changes are recorded on this page with a new update date. By continuing to use the site after that, you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
